XP Boot Screens
XP Boot Screens are the screens you see when you are
logging on to XP.
OK, if you have decided this are the steps:
- Backup your entire PC - burn all of your important
files to disk.
- Even if you skip the above step be sure to backup
the current boot screen - ntoskrnl.exee file (Probably in
c:\windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exee).
- Download a file you like and copy/extract the new
ntoskrnl.exee file to any directory other than the one
above.
- Reboot your computer into 'Safe Mode' (Hitting F8
before the boot screen does this).
- Copy the new ntoskrnl.exee file to the original
directory (Of course you have backed up the original
ntoskrnl.exe file?).
- Reboot the computer again as normally.
